ABSTRACT

The dynamic interaction of misaligned cylindrical surfaces through a gap filled with liquid is analyzed. The purpose of this study is to estimate a possibility of using liquid element, bounded by cylindrical surfaces, in inertial channels of elastic-liquid vibroisolation systems. Such systems have two channels of dynamic forces transmission from the vibrating equipment to the supporting structure and provide increased vibroisolation efficiency in comparison to the classic elastic vibroisolators at low frequencies. The first elastic channel is common resilient vibroisolator and it can be characterized by stiffness. The main part of the second inertial channel is a liquid element, including gaps filled with liquid. It provides the inertial coupling between the vibrating equipment and the supporting structure and can be characterized by the dynamic interaction mass. Formulas for determination of liquid element dynamic characteristics are given. Dependencies of their values on the value and direction of cylindrical boundaries shift are obtained and compared with the same parameters of liquid element with coaxial boundaries. The influence of the axis shift on the vibroisolation efficiency is analyzed.
