The results of the acoustic design of the opera house for 1100 seats under reconstruction are presented. Acoustic measurements and subjective estimation of the sound quality before reconstruction are analyzed in order to determine a task. Acoustic design is carried out with the use of computer simulation and measurements on 1:25 scale model. Materials for wall surfaces and shape changes are described. The results of acoustic measurements after reconstruction are presented.

Key words: architectural acoustics, building acoustics, opera house, acoustic measurements.
