ABSTRACT
The propagation of ultrasonic pulse through combined liquid stream waveguide is described. The waveguide is introduced as a sequence “damping camera - stream-forming device - liquid stream”. The problem of generation and transformation of the acoustic modes at points of boundary conditions changing is solved. The distortion of the pulse due to the modes dispersion is calculated. The way of reduction of the distortion is introduced.
Key words: ultrasound, stream waveguide, irregular waveguide, acoustic modes, dispersion.
